Okay girls, it’s time to fess up and feed up. Are you raising healthy chicks, or driving through those fast feed lines one time too often? Well, it’s time to meet Leslie Grant and all the gals of Chickin Feed who’ve come up with a fun and oh-so-creative way to teach your kids about nutrition and making healthy choices. 

We caught up with Leslie recently (just after her appearance on Rachel Ray) to see what’s up at the Coop.

“We all are so busy - care giving, creating, working and basically multi-tasking our selves into a frenzy that trying to eat well seems to be one of the first things to go. Finding the time to teach our children (chickins) about nutrition is not really on the radar. Bottom line?  We have this great group of (mostly) moms who’ve found a common interest in enlightening the world to a simple effective way to teach our chickins (and ourselves) about nutrition.

Our Chickin Feed Nutrition Tracking Boards have really taken off as folks seem almost desperate to find some way to grapple with the nutrition catch-22. It has been a wonderful ride. Nothing like 300 orders in a day to make you wake up and say "I think we're in business!"

What do we do when we’re not filling orders? We all volunteer too much at our kids schools (control freaks that we are), do laundry when we can, take the kids to tennis, soccer, dance & scouts, try to fix the best meals we can with the time we have and eat pizza at least once a week for good measure! We play tennis amongst ourselves, support our other halves in their own creative endeavors (fully appreciating their support) do the dishes when they start to stink, laugh a lot and best of all - we made an executive decision that a glass of wine counts as a “fruit” on mommy’s tracking board.”

Now Chicks, that’s MTW’s idea of a nutritious snack! Congratulations, Leslie to you and everyone at the Coop!
